Bio
Luana Lindner is a classically trained violinist who artistically explores connections between music, culture, and community. Despite having no musicians in the family, playing the violin and making music in groups soon turned into her professional dream.

At the age of ten she was awarded her first scholarship at a music school in Bonn, Germany, which prepares young musicians for competitions, college auditions, and a professional career in music. Three years later she moved to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and started playing at the esteemed Orchestra Academy of Petrobras Symphony Orchestra and Camerata Laranjeiras, an innovative string ensemble which aims to go beyond genre-defining music styles and break present social bareers. This experience incited her desire to combine music, community, and culture on a deeper level and explore it professionally.

Consequently, Luana moved to Berlin, Germany, to study music at the prestigious Berlin University of the Arts with the violin always remaining her main instrument. There, she now holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music, a Master of Education, and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Community Music and Music in Social Work from Musikhochschule Lübeck.
Throughout the years she held positions as concert master of Camerata Laranjeiras in Rio de Janeiro and the Collegium Musicum Symphony Orchestra Berlin, co-created intercultural and interdisciplinary projects with fellow international artists and toured through Germany, Sweden, Norway, Israel, France, and Great Britain, among others, with different ensembles. The exploration of music performance in diverse communities and spaces, such as the Berlin Philharmonic and the Norwegian National Theatre, in contrast to high-security prisons or the streets of Rio, inspired her to dedicate her professional life to the intersections of music, culture, and society.

Both as a musician and educator, Luana aspires to create a space where professional musicians, traditional, and modern audiences come together to experience the myriad of music and culture worldwide.
